During my career I have worked as manager or consultant on many projects. Below you can find
a selection of the past few years, most of them related to public security and
intelligent cameras.
- CCTV consultant and project leader technical implementation central CCTV room at the city of Amsterdam. (2010 – now)
- Various consultancy and project management for Dutch Police on CCTV and other video–related workflows (Intrepix, April 2007 – now).
- Implementation of CCTV at the city of Leiden within the CTOV anti terror programme. (2009 – 2011)
- Support of a government organisation with the implementation of camera surveillance and biometric access control. (2008 – 2010)
- Research with TNO Science and Industry for the Dutch soccer association (KNVB) on the applicability of the latest biometric fingerprint scanners for use in a black list scenario. (April - November 2008).
- Support of a multi-national consortium in the (successful) application of a European project to develop new technology to help police detectives find the relevant information in enormous amounts of child pornography. (Intrepix, October 2007 & Februari 2008).
- Consultancy for the Dutch Ministry of Transport about the possibilities and costs of Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) of a road user charging system (Intrepix, July – September 2007).
- An innovative public security concept for the new soccer station of ADO Den Haag (TNO, 2004 – 2007).
- Consultancy and project management of a pilot project of the Royal Dutch Soccer Association (KNVB) on banning hooligans from stadiums using biometrics (TNO, 2006 – 2007).
- System development using automatic video processing to monitor driving behaviour (TNO, 2006).
- Evaluation and management of a pilot project to use intelligent cameras to detect people throwing stones upon highways (TNO, 2005).
- Several strategic and politically sensitive projects on applying intelligent cameras and biometrics for several Ministries (Internal affairs, Justice, Foreign affairs), Dutch soccer and the national railway (TNO, 2003 – 2006).
- Development of a new system for automatic comparison of forensic shoeprints for the Dutch Police (TNO, 2004 – 2006).
- Development of a tool to search large amounts of video in order to filter out child pornography for the Dutch Police (TNO, 2003).
